''Haiti has been hit by the first large earthquake in 240 years.”

Can you imagine having only a home then having it taken from you in a blink of an eye? Can you imagine walking down a torn up street and finding a loved one injured badly or on the verge of dying right before your eyes and you’re not able to do anything about it? Can you imagine watching people being pulled from under debris and half the people being found are new-borns & toddlers then realizing they died in the process? Can you imagine that?

Well, a few days ago I was wondering why so many people were talking about earthquakes. I thought we as ''Californians'' were going to suffer another massive earthquake like we did in 1989. Truth be told we are earthquake country but I came to find out that on January12, 2010 Haiti had an earthquake of 7.0 on the Richter Scale, killing thousands of people in seconds and leaving thousands more homeless and injured. To feel scared, confused, mad and sad on top of being relieved that you weren't killed is something I personally would not want to feel. Families scattered all over the island then later stumbling over the reality that most were dead, some were badly injured & some will never be found isn't easy to hold in.

Many people lost someone or everything on January 12, 2010. Although the quake only hit in Haiti, the pain and suffering stretched all over the United States. If you would like to help the people that need it the most you can go to:
