What problems does society face today?? If i was to listall of the issues i would probably be writing for a long time. Racism Prejudice and homofobic issues are just a few. Going in to RYSE i never would have expected to work with so many diverse people. I learn so much here at the RYSE, and the Prom and Drag Queen Contest taught me a lot.

I learned that even if you dont agree with a person's lifestyle or ways, you owe them respect, which means you dont have  to like it but you can't knock it. Lesbian , Bisexuals ,gays, transgenders, and queers are just like everyone else. We all breathe the same air and walk the same earth. I think its sad that people are discriminated against because of their sexual preference. We should go back to elementary and be taught , "If you have nothing nice to say , don't say it at all." and " Treat people the way you want to be treated." Everyone has feelings and should be treated as such. What you choose to do is your perogative. DOnt yuck someone's yum.

Because of religious and home life alot of people do tend to seperate themselfs from LBGTQ. I do not agree with some lifestyles but i do not treat people any different, and being at RYSE has taught me  RESPECT is key , and HATING' is for people who have nothing to do with their life or they are incomplete themselfs.
