One of our departments here at RYSE is the media arts and culture (a.k.a. MAC). Last week Rafa and I sat down to speak with Fred who is the coordinator of the MAC program. He informed us of all the ongoing programs that are offered at the moment. Some of these programs are piano lessons, music production, video production, audio engineering, and the DJ program amongst many more.
 
Out of all the programs provided, music production seems to be the most popular. Fred thinks that it is the most popular because music is such a broad subject. In music you can speak of your past, of history, it can be fun, make people laugh as well as being deep.
 
A constant member of this program is Cristina, and we sat down to talk with her as well. She likes making beats because it is fun for her to be around music. She says there is always something to do and wants to keep attending. Not only can she develop her own music but she gets to be around other artists and there is always something to learn. Having been a member for the last 9 months, she wishes there were more job opportunities and more classes on music production and engineering. She also enjoys the space provided because it is close to home and whenever she has a question concerning anything in the music department, she refers to the MAC PROGRAM!
