So yesterda, here at the rysecenter we had a memorial for someone whom wet to my school. at around 330 in the afternoon yesterday, he was shot and killed in front of his house. This made a heavy weight on our shoulders at el cerrito high. this was our very first death of the year.

 Though we wanted to react violently, we knew that was not the way to solve our anger. We knew that we had to do somethinhg, but nothng violent. We didnt want to add to anymore deaths that were already there. We felt that we will get justice, but not through anyones life being taken away.

As a student and fellow classmate its esspecially hard on us. it's hard for us as peers to see someone who we all know, be gone within an instant. There were tears shed, hearts broken and lots of sad people, but within time, were all gonna be okay =)
