There are a lot of people in the world who are "Homophobic". I for one am not. I believe being gay is as normal as a heterosexual. I am heterosexual and like to call my self an "Ally" of the LGBTQ community. My mother is currently and from now on is/will be lesbian. She used to be straight, hence why I am able to be here writing about this, but after a while being in america she turned gay. I believe that it may be because back in Honduras, like my mom likes to say, "You don't really see much of that there", which is like saying that there aren't much "gays" there or maybe that there are a lot of people "hiding in the closet" . It was around the time that I was in 3rd grade I believe when my mom turned gay, maybe before that, I'm not too sure. But back then I didn't know what lesbianism was. It never bothered me though, I suppose I am just very open minded. Even from the beginning of my life. You know, I believe that "gays" should have just as much rights as anyone else. I believe that being "Homophobic" is some what like being racist. I don't like that. People shouldn't be deprived of their rights for being who they are and being themselves. This is America and this country is said to be built upon freedom, justice, equity, and the pursuit of happiness. And who are we to deny human beings the right of love.
