Hello all, I am here to inform everyone about Wikileaks. WikiLeaks is a non-profit media organization that is established on a website. The website submits "unavailable" documents and "Leaks" from anonymous sources. The website was launched in 2006 and is run by The Sunshine Press. The person who crated this site is non other than Julian Assange, an Australian journalist and internet activist. The website has won many awards including the New Media Award of the 2008 Economist Magazine. Some of their major leaks of last year are the Bilderberg Group meeting reports where you can read the meeting reports from 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1960, 1962, 1963 and 1980. Another major leak they posted is the toxic dumping in Africa. The dumping in the Ivory coast affected 108,000 people, according to the United Nations. But its most recent leak that has been all over the news is the most classified military leak in history. The leak is actually 391,832 report documents of the occupation and war in Iraq. The logs are in a division called The Iraq War Logs. The reports are from January 1st 2004 to December 31st 2009. The log reports are from the soldiers of the United States Army and all are supposed to be "Classified". The logs report 109,032 deaths in Iraq, most of the deaths, more than 60%, are deaths of civilians with a number of 66,081. The rest of the deaths are enemy with a number of 23,984, host nations with a number of 15,196, and 3,771 are friendly deaths. This leak is really extraordinary in the numbers of deaths. War really shouldn't be able go to a length where there are more than a hundred thousand people dying. Really, I believe in freedom of press and I believe that the government shouldn't hide so many things from us we should be able to know what's going on in our name as Americans.
