This year for my Birthday, I got to hang out with DJT in Berkeley Ca, We token a field trip to a TV station, located by Berkeley high school. The first thing I notice was all the light, focusing on the middle of the set. Seeing the entire chair set up, I had a feeling that there was going to be a live shooting or some sort. I was excited to witness the show from behind the scene. But then Dan and the host ask me to be in the show, and I didn’t know what to say. Being something new to me I was nervous. However they explain that it was not live and will be edit I felt relief.
The topic for that day show was about violence, and how we cope with it. This was a great opportunity for us to share to the viewer how us as young people in Richmond handle horrific tragedy like violence. Sharing our story on the show was important, because we live it. Richmond is our community, that why all of our story is powerful.
That why I feel that the DJT of Ryse is special because it is an outlet that let us youth us the media, empowering ourselves and others.
