I’m going to write about the photo class I was taking here at the
center.The class was very small, it was me and four other people including
the teacher. We used Digital Kodak cameras. The concept of the class was to
get a feel of the people and environment around us. I didn’t have a
structured plan of how I was going to go about to take pictures; I just
picked up the camera and took pictures of people and things that really
stood out to me. I prefer to take pictures really up close to an object
rather than far away. In the class we went everywhere from Nichol Park here
in Richmond to the train tracks out in Berkeley and to the Mission out in
San Francisco. I discovered something new that I really enjoy doing. I hope
that this photo class keeps going on throughout the school year because I
really enjoy taking photos. Although it was only a 3 week class on Tuesdays
and Thursdays I learned a lot. I’m hoping that Arts Change continues to
talk to our photo teacher and get the class to be permanent.

wooow! those pictures look great! the effects give a new way to look at our environment just like you said. great job, it looks like the class was interesting and if thats what you're up to then it should definately be made permanent
