Blogs :: Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine

Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine is a magazine that was created in 1994 by a group of artists and collectors. The made this magazine to show everyone urban and underground art from all over the world. I believe that being able to look at art is an amazing thing because you can always somehow relate to the art piece, wether it reminds you of something or someone or if it just blows you away at how abstract and  bizarre a piece may be. Looking through the Juxtapoz Magazine website http://www.juxtapoz.com/ I saw many great pieces that I've never before seen in my life because of there uniqueness and authenticity. There was one European artist by the name of Escif that really caught my attention.

Escif aims to put his work on the street rather than have them indoors because he believes that it should be seen publicly. I strongly agree with his thinking because I feel that art should always be seen by everyone and the streets is where you can get the most out of art pieces. Talking about art, I think of the city of Richmond and San Pablo with their graffiti laws. I  believe the best way to solve this problem is by having walls in the  city of Richmond and San Pablo where artists can go and express  themselves without having to face serious consequences. That's just a thought because I'm infatuated with art and I believe that art should be seen and shown all over the world because it brings a positive vibe and a gateway to think things differently.
