An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
I have a dream...that everyone in Richmond comes out to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Event on January 17th from 9am-1pm on the Richmond Greenway
Martin Luther King Jr. is an individual who led one of the largest movements in the United States. His words moved people all over the world. The impact he created during his life was seen to some as a blessing and to others it was seen as a problem. His death was a day of mourning for the many who followed the movement he represented. However! the movement was not a one man show.
The civil rights movement consisted of thousands of people getting together for a common cause. Martin Luther King became the speaker of the movement but the momentum continued because enough people cared about one another and were committed to change. This year we are inviting you to an annual community event! Martin Luther King Day of Service!
