If I had to choose one country to learn about it would be Fiji Islands, my homeland. I have never been there and always wondered what it would be like. The little information I know about Fiji is why our flag has the British flag on it and why I’m Indian but not from India. The British took us from India to Fiji to make us their slaves. I just know that piece of history about my country. I wish I knew more like what the climate is out there or what’s it like academically or why it’s named “Fiji”, where is the name originated from or what’s the main dish out there, is it something my mom cooks now or what a regular day looks like in Fiji and why everybody that has been lucky to travel to Fiji says it’s beautiful. I wonder what color the sky is out there and whether I’d fit in or not? Okay.. I lied. I do know a tiny bit more information; I mean I should since both my parents are from there. Like I know there are tons of insects. Like scorpions and other bugs such like that. I know the children that attend school wear school uniforms and that my grandparents owned a sugarcane farm, currently I don’t know whether they do or not. I wish I could learn more about diwali(sp)-the festival of lights-and what its importance is. I wonder why my hair is so curly and if it has anything to do with Fiji. Too, too many questions I have unsolved and I guess the only way to figure it out is total rocket science, haha. So don’t mind me as I become Einstein, I’m just trying to figure out the place I come from [[ :
