I remember telling a story at an RLT meeting. And now i'm going to write about it again. It upset me very much when i witnessed this scene and couldn't believe it happened right before my eyes!! Here's how it goes. I was on the bus as it pulled away from the busstop when suddenly a male-to-female transsexual came running after the bus.I expected the bus driver to stop and let her on but he kept on driving,fully aware of her intentions. I wasn't really suprised at this because sometimes bus drivers won't stop if they're already going.But the next part had me pretty shocked. Out of the blue the bus driver stops and she comes running towards the door and knocks on it. The bus driver drives past her totally ignoring her and keeps going!! Before finally pulling out of Richmond Bart Station,he had to stop for a car in front of him so she catches up with him once more and he finally let's her on the bus. How the bus driver treated her was definatley cruel and unusual behavior. I hope by telling you this story and writing this blog,you won't treat any transgender female or male in this manner. I hope you will look at them and still see a human being scared because he or she knows they aren't considered society's norm and by being transsexual openly can be putting their lives in harms way or being rejected by their peers,friends and possibly their own families.Please don't judge them. You might disagree with their life style but i hope you don't disrespect them like that bus driver did to that poor girl. I am a straight alli and very proud of it!! : ]]]
