Paintballing
Hey all, if you have never been paintballing before I would say get on the field. It the perfect game to get the blood flowing and satisfy the adrenalin junkies needs. Don’t be too concerned with the rumors you may or may not hear about paintballing. The truth is that they are just rumors, but let me settle a few questions and concerns here. The most common question I get in regards to paintballing would be “doesn’t it hurt”. The truth is that it feels like having a thin rubber band snapped on your skin, or if you wear long sleeves then it doesn’t hurt really at all because it hits your clothing. It hurts enough to let you know that you’ve been hit and are now out of the game. The second rumor that I hear all of the time is that paintballers are notoriously known for being overly aggressive and will overshoot, meaning that will continue to shoot you even after your hit. Well I first recommend that when you get hit you make it well known. Wave your hand above or out of your cover first, then once the balls stop bursting around your then move out. You may encounter people who will foolishly continue to shoot you be keep in mind this is rare and against game rules, you can always seek the closest referee and report the player. I wanted to recommend the first time you go to a large place that is open play meaning not speedball or any other player scenario. These types of games often attract players that have high tech equipment that can shoot 20 to 30 balls per second (depending on how fast their fingers are). I would recommend paintball jungle. Its located in American canyon AKA Vallejo. It’s a huge park that is open to any and all skill levels and a good place for beginners. Hope this helps, and makes you want to give it a try any other questions let me know. Remember everyone is nervous their first time because they don’t know that to expect. Once you get hit for the first time it’s all downhill from there.
Thanks for the clarification on paintballing. I did not now how it really felt and that it is really getting popular. I also did not know that we have local facilities where we can play.
