I was born into a Mexican Culture where my food consisted of a lot of fried ingredients such as taquitos, tostadas, empanadas and the list can go on. My mom would fry almost everything to make it taste better. And its all so delicious that its hard to avoid it. It wasn't until recently that I started watching what I eat. Not to say that I am one of those people who rather strave then to eat greasy food but I have been trying. However, its hard! its like giving a kid a sweet colored drink then telling her/him to drink water after you let them try it. I remember hating to drink water and my mom never really forced us either. At every party you can find soda, and even both of my grandma's are addicted to coka cola. Its a transition has been pretty hard for me but I remind myself of the purposes behind my new decision. Its about taking baby steps and not overwhelming yourself. Being healthy is worth everyones time and will benefit anyone who chooses to go through this transtion. Your life is worth the time, your body is worth caring about! :)
