Description

BAYC’s Supported Housing Program serves youth, ages 18-24 who have emancipated from the foster care system and are potentially homeless or at risk of being homeless.  Our apartments are located in Hayward and San Leandro.  BAYC’s SHP program has a strong focus on mental health and participants work with a clinical social worker in developing treatment goals.  SHP participants are also required to get enrolled in a school program and be motivated to graduate from a University, community college or vocational school.  Participants should be motivated to find employment and develop a career plan.  Participants will be offered a great deal of support to help them in building their independent living skills, finding employment, maintaining school placement, etc.
