The UC system of 4-year universities is renown throughout the nation for its high quality of education and amenities. The ten campuses, including the medical school campus at UC San Francisco, include some of the best universities in the country. Education at UC schools is more expensive than at CSU’s and community colleges, but it is still much more affordable to California residents than to non-residents. UC campuses have comprehensive resources including family resource centers, a student health center, resource centers for students with disabilities, and much more. Some campuses have Guardian Scholars (for former foster youth) offices and all campuses have offices of Financial Aid.
